Working from Home

Ben Roberts

Does the open plan office encourage more collaboration? Or are more employees these days using headphones to block out noise and conversation.

This is an interesting one for me in the digital era we now live in. I enjoy working from home, where it's peaceful and I have a particular project or presentation to focus on. It also gives me time to reflect and anticipate other work situations that maybe on the horizon.

However I also miss the conversations, the random interactions where ideas spark when people meet in the corridors or other communal areas.

Also the commute and the diversity of scenery to take in helps my mind focus.

So for me it's a case of balance.

Would love to hear from you on your thoughts and the pros and cons of working from home as with the way the future is moving this can be an increasingly common thing.
