Vagabonds and Collaboration

Ben Roberts

Between the summers of 1916 and 1924, Four of America’s smartest minds would get together on annual camping trips.

The idea came from Henry Ford and his other guests were Thomas Edison, Harvey Firestone and John Burroughs. So amongst them you had the world’s leading car maker, the inventor of the lightbulb, the founder of the largest tire and rubber company and one of America’s great writers.

And even in the world today, a century on their brands and inventions stand strong. This is what happens when great minds meet and get together regularly. Thoughts are shared, ideas are born and friendships are made.

It shows collaboration is strong that these brands can be successful today because of the times these Vagabonds spent on their camping trips.

Can you imagine Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckenberg, Warren Buffet and Richard Branson camping annually together to make the world a better place?

Who would would be three people you would love to go on a camping trip with?
