Twitter and it’s future

Ben Roberts

The future of twitter. With the stock price currently at $18.39 after previously hitting a high of $74. One wonders what the future holds for the online news and social networking service.

I use it as a personal newsfeed, following people in my industry and sports news. Indeed using it this way means my news is skewed to content that I like and is meaningful to me. And this probably adds to the case of fake news in the way I am only seeing what I want to see. I only see one side of the conversation.

The site has only improved slightly over the years with small additions like the inclusion of pics and videos. In it's early years I used to tweet frequently but now much less so and maybe only check it once a day. What do you think about Twitter given all the digital apps and social media platforms that have come into play since it arrived in March 2006, a good year before the iPhone launched? Will it adapt and survive or slowly die off? How do you use it?
