Taking a break and building your own hideaway.

As the hustle and bustle of city life takes the strain on the mind and the body, more and more families are looking for peaceful escapes.

Our lust for design and being able to make things has put the prefab back in fashion.

Next spring, simplistic but elegant Japanese company is creating the Muji hut, in true Japanese style it will be small at 9m squared.

The current market leader is called Gapahuk designed by famous Norwegian architecture firm Snohetta who created the Oslo Opera house and the expanded San Francisco MOMA. It has 3 bedrooms, a living area, kitchen & bathroom.

The components can be shipped to wherever you desire as it is all made of wood, then assembled and fitted.

The name Gapahuk is Norwegian for a simple wooden structure.

First kits were delivered in the Norway over the summer, and more round the world soon.

A creative solution to creating your own bolthole.
