The Clown of Creativity

Le Moulin Jaune, The Yellow Mill.

We all dream of having our dream home & how we would kit it out.

While design and minimalism seem to be the taste of many, Slava Poulim, a famous clown & mime performer, rebellious artist from Russia has gone a step further.

He has created a home, 40 min outside of Paris which is an extraordinary mix of fairy tale & avant-guarde.

His fame was controversial & the government condemned him until he made the wife of a Soviet Leader laugh & has gone to perform to over 3 million people in his career.

His home is something else though.

Taking 15 years to build it consists of a castle-like yellow mansion and surrounding park that are managed by Polunin, his family, and a group of friends. It features fantastical sights across five themed gardens full of plants, flowers, and whimsical installation art. The home features rotating and regular pieces, such as a bed that floats down the river. Special events and workshops also include performances from Slava's talented friends. Sometime during the year he even opens it to the public.

Goes to show that artists really do live their life as piece as a art and you can never take the creativity away.
