Rhythm and Flow

Ben Roberts

Every day we battle through an influx of meetings, deadlines, emails, calls, texts and so forth.

They key to best win the battle is to know what you can control and what you can’t.

Some people are at their best in the morning, others thrive in the evening and maybe afternoons after lunch is when you feel most productive.

Understand when you can perform at your at optimum.

Saying no or not right now within reason is a powerful answer. As long as you commit to when you will do it.

Emails are generally reactive and people wanting something from you. Try and get those done first at the beginning of the day and then leave your inbox and focus on your other deliverables. There is no need to respond instantly unless of course it is an immediate need that affects something.

If you are a night person, use that time to do your thinking and prepare for the next day mentally.

Think ahead, be prepared.

Each to their own but it’s important you find  the rhythm that works best for you and then the work will flow will more effectively.
