Forgive and Forget

Ben Roberts

A simple expression that holds much deeper connotations.

In our ‘always on’ world, the time spent harbouring grudges and the energy required is not good for our health.

Forgiveness is about self-healing and only by moving on can we let ourselves move on. Think of forgiveness like a shield both mentally and physically, if you are forgiving of yourself and others, the reduction of stress is significant and your well being is greater.

It might be difficult but you can go through stages to help the process.

Reflect first, then empathise and then forgive. It’s not necessary who you need to forgive but what you need to do to help your healing process.

Time may make a great healer but time is a limited resource these days and you control your fate and that is much easier to do without holding grudges.

And who wants to be one who gets pleasure from someone else’s demise.
