Comics played an important role in growing up for those in Generation X, the Baby Boomers.
Whether you loved the Beano and all the misfits it had in the UK or Archie and his love triangle with Betty and Veronica in the US, they provided entertainment, humour and escapism.
Having lived in both countries as a kid, am a fan of both. Admittedly I was never a superhero fan.
So it was a surprise to see Netflix reprise Archie through the darker series 'Riverdale'. So far ratings seems pretty good, but will this attract new fans to a old fashioned comic or would they prefer just to the play the app version and have their eyes locked to a screen.
Will comics ever become cool again like vinyl or just a distant memory like a cassette?
