Clear your Head

Ben Roberts

Ever feel like there’s too much going on in your head while you are at work? This makes it hard to focus and achieve any of your tasks let alone all of them.

Going for a walk, especially to an open space like a park has proven to be a great reliever. It will help decrease stress, remove hostility and increase your liveliness.

Shinrin-Yoku is the Japanese practice of soaking in nature through all five senses. The Ministry of Foresty started promoting it as therapy in 1982 with the key idea of being able to relax and take in the beauty of the natural surroundings. As one of the guides there says ‘Don’t effort’.

So take the effort to get there by removing your headphones, escaping the screens and take a relaxed walk through nature.

You will feel better off mentally and physically.

And be more productive on your return.
