Cambodia

Cambodia is one of the most beautiful countries in South East Asia. It was known as the Pearl of Asia. Although small in population with 15 million, it is a nation filled with smiles, tuk tuks, and temples.

Considering the hardships the country has been through since Pol Pot in 1975, its main growth is through garment and tourism. The more tourism it gets, the more we can help with the growth of a country that has suffered such atrocities and basically had to rebuild an entire nation.

Phnom Penh is famous for its beautiful and historical architecture and attractions. There are a number of surviving French colonial buildings scattered along the grand boulevards.

However the main attraction in Cambodia is Siem Reap. With the beautiful temples of Angkor, Angkor Wat Temple is the central feature of the Angkor UNESCO World Heritage Site containing the magnificent remains of the Khmer civilisation. I recommend visiting a floating village, an amazing experience. There are plenty of museums to visit in both cities to curb your curiosity

Watch the film ‘The Killing Fields’ will give a great perspective on its turbulent history. It won Best Picture in the 1984 Oscars. I recommend you visit and help the country grow through tourism. You won't be disappointed.
