Creativity

Breaking free and developing.

The shelf life of a successful boyband is around 5 years before they outgrow their audience.

Predominantly there is always one charismatic member who becomes successful in his own right. Think Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson and Robbie Williams .

Now Harry Styles has made the move from One Direction into his direction. In 2017, he has released a successful solo album with the hit single ‘Sign of the Times’ hitting number 1 in the UK and Australia as well as the top ten in many markets. He changed his musical style which surprised many.

He auditioned against 1000’s for a role in Dunkirk, a film which has grossed $400 million globally with his performance critically acclaimed. What he has done is refuse to stagnate and realised the need for change. As a 23 year old that’s very impressive.

We could all learn from that, we constantly need to change and grow both personally and professionally. If you stay stagnate, you are moving backwards without realising it. The pace of life is fast and we want to get the best out of it we can.

Don’t be afraid of change, embrace it.

Personal and professional growth is good for the soul.

What’s the biggest change you have taken?
