Being Different for Different's sake

Ben Roberts

We aren’t all Unicorns.

In the cluttered, frantic world we live in, we are often told the need to stand out.

Having something unique to make us worth choosing. Whether that’s being selected for a job or winning a client.

We all need a USP for our identity to flourish.

The need for this can be overwhelming and puts pressure on us and in the end sometimes people push the wrong traits of being different just because that’s all it is. Simply different. Doesn’t add value but hey it’s different.

Why not try something else?

Being good. Let your work ethic, your skills and achievements speak for themselves. Your ability should be the factor not being unique.

So instead of concentrating on being different, concentrate on being good.

Results are more impressive than image.
