Beating Self Doubt

Ben Roberts

We believe what we are programmed to believe and that's why we should use our inner monologue to help us prepare.

Self talk is always there and always will be.

Knowing how to use it is the key. Think of it as a gym for your mind, press ups for your brain, burpees for your subconscious. Mental skills are extremely important for our health and happiness.

If you are anxious about that speech or presentation and visualise yourself failing, chances are you probably will.

Luck is where preparation meets opportunity and the better prepared mentally and more positive you are,  the more chance of success you will have. And the more optimism you have, the more hope and joy you will carry.

Self talk is about taking responsibility for yourself and recognising the difference between success and failure. It might not make your wild dreams come true but it will certainly stop you sabotaging your own success and happiness.
