Selfies

Ben Roberts

Admit we have all taken one. Ever since face forwarding smart phones came out 'the selfie' became a thing.

It even entered the Oxford Dictionary as word of the year in 2013. It's estimated that over a million selfies are uploaded a week and millennials spend an hour a week taking them.

Google reported 24 billion selfies were uploaded online last year. What does this say about us?

Are we more selfish than ever but use hashtags to make us feel better when there is a crisis or whenever something tragic happens. or have we just become so used to Kardashian culture by extension it's become part of our lives.

Let's turn the phones away from ourselves and if we want to capture anything let it be memories and good times. Not 100 pics of yourself trying to the right one.

What do you think? Any funny selfie stories or something to share?
